Laboratory for Molecular Bio-discovery
The Laboratory for Molecular Bio-Discovery at KU Leuven (Department of Pharmaceutical and Pharmacological Sciences) works to improve understanding and treatment of drug-resistant epilepsy, with a special focus on childhood epilepsy.
They do this using innovative disease models and advanced strategies for drug discovery and development, including both small molecules and genetic therapies.
The research team is led by Prof. Daniëlle Copmans and consists of an enthusiastic group of scientists, technicians, and support staff. Dr. Annelii Ny, IOF manager, provides strategic guidance and coordinates innovation and collaboration processes.
Together with other researchers at UZ Leuven, KU Leuven, and international partners, they are committed to groundbreaking research that can truly make a difference for children with epilepsy.
