News - Rebelepsy

On 15 January 2026, the REBELEPSY platform had the opportunity to make its voice heard in the Federal Parliament in Brussels, advocating for an integrated care pathway for people with epilepsy.

The REBELEPSY platform brings together experts, associations, patient representatives and partner organisations who are deeply committed to improving the care and quality of life of individuals living with epilepsy. Members of Parliament Kathleen Depoorter and Carmen Ramlot attended the session to listen to the proposal and engage in dialogue on how care for patients and their caregivers can be strengthened.

Prof. Dr. Lieven Lagae, Chair of the Leuven Childhood Epilepsy Center, was also among the experts who spoke about epilepsy that day.

The involved Members of Parliament will amend the draft resolution discussed during the forum and subsequently submit it to the Chamber of Representatives.

Hopefully, this marks another important step towards better integrated care for people with epilepsy and those around them.
