Track and share epilepsy information
Helpilepsy is a mobile app that serves as a digital diary for managing your child’s epilepsy.
It allows you to keep all important information organised and easy to access.
What can you record?
In Helpilepsy, you can accurately track seizures, medication, and any side effects. This gives you quick insight into:
- the types of seizures your child experiences,
- how often they occur,
- how long they last.
You can even add video recordings of seizures, which can be very helpful for the treating physician.
Medication management
For each medication, you can record when it started, the dosage, and when the treatment stopped.
This helps you maintain a clear overview of both current and past medications.
Overviews and insights
The app provides daily, monthly, and yearly summaries of seizures and medication. This makes it easier to identify potential links between medication use and seizure patterns.
For parents and healthcare professionals
Helpilepsy consists of two sections:
- a patient section for parents and children,
- a professional section for the treating neurologist or physician.
Doctors can access your child’s reports through their professional interface.
Is your child being followed at UZ Leuven? Feel free to ask about this option during your consultation.
You can also actively share reports yourself to help prepare for a medical appointment.
Available in multiple languages
The app is accessible in several languages, making it easy to use for many families.
