Anna's research
Anna is a civil engineer and PhD student working with the Center for Childhood Epilepsy. Her research focuses on childhood epilepsy, with a specific focus on childhood absence epilepsy.
Her study investigates how brain activity can help predict which children with absence epilepsy will respond well to medication, how the disease will develop and which children are at risk of treatment resistance or evolution to other epilepsy syndromes.
To this end, she uses various analysis techniques, including artificial intelligence, to identify specific patterns in brain activity. Her goal is to find reliable predictors that contribute to a more targeted and personalized treatment of children with epilepsy.
