Jirka's research
Jirka is a researcher at the Childhood Epilepsy Center. She holds a master’s degree in experimental psychology and statistics. Driven by her fascination with the human brain, she wants her work to make a real difference for children with epilepsy.
Her research focuses on the link between psychology and sleep in children with epilepsy, with special attention to executive functioning. These are the mental skills you need to achieve goals—such as planning, thinking flexibly, and noticing and correcting mistakes.
